The history of the Cork Sugarcraft Association
The Cork Sugarcraft Association was founded in 1994, by two incredibly inspirational ladies, Jacqueline Cullinane and the late Sue Cummins.
We are a group of people who all enjoy decorating cakes. We range from complete beginners who are learning to make family cakes to others who make their living creating wonderful wedding cakes.
Anyone who likes creating cakes is welcome to join us. Just come along to our next meeting held on the Last Tuesday of every month except December, July and August at: Canon Packham Hall, Douglas, Cork in the grounds of St. Luke's School adjacent to the Church of Ireland - and meetings start at 7.45pm
Every month we have a demonstration or a 'hands-on' workshop led by our own members or visiting tutors.
READ MOREWe have members from all over County Cork. Here's what some of them think about being members of the Cork Sugarcraft Association.
"From the minute I discovered the things you could do with sugar I was enthralled. Once I learned there were a group of people who felt the same and they met once a month I was delighted. I’ve loved every meeting, demonstration, hands on nights, weekend workshops etc. Everyone was happy to share information and there hasn’t been a meeting where I haven’t learned something. Love it!"
